AFTER finishing your KS CCH Training

After you complete a CCH course and receive a Certificate of Completion, you apply for a CCH license by taking the following to your local sheriff's office (or, in Riley County, where the offices of City Police and County Sheriff were combined many years ago, to the RCPD Law-Enforcement Center): At your local sheriff's office/RCPD, you will be fingerprinted and photographed.  If your record is "clean", in 30-90 days (it's been running about 45 days lately) you should receive a letter from the KSAG's office instructing you to visit a DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) office where, after paying another $12, you will immediately receive a temporary paper license and then, a short time later, your permanent CCH license will come in the mail!

Be forewarned that the license-application form asks some rather-personal questions: and so on; answer truthfully or you'll be in a heap of trouble!  (If you must answer YES to any of those questions, you probably should talk to a lawyer before spending any money taking a CCH class!)
